Elderly

How do you want to be treated when you become a lolo or a lola (grandpa or grandma)?

When I saw this viral photo (credit to the owner) of Jollibee showing respect to Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), I thought it was very special.

Elder

A gesture of love. Showing respect to elders that we should emulate more.

More than a branding stint, it was a good example for the young people to follow.

Here is my A Dose of Ramedy today:

Respect your elders. How would you feel if people disrespected you just because you had gray hair, wrinkles, and a slower gait?

People who have experienced many years of life have a different perspective from someone who is seeing things for the first time.

With this experience comes lessons that can be handed down. Doesn’t it make sense to show respect for someone who is teaching you something so valuable?

The wisdom of the older people you know can truly enrich your life. Even if you don’t agree with what they’re saying, at least listen, and you may come away with an important nugget that you can use in the future.

If you still have an elderly member in your family, hug and thank them more. Show them more love.

Let them feel that you appreciate their presence in your life.

Be blessed always!
