My journey in the desert became a meaningful and fruitful one when I discovered the Couples for Christ (CFC) family. I started as a reluctant Singles for Christ (SFC) member but later on rediscovered a personal loving relationship with God. I relearned the rudiments of being a selfless servant.
CFC became my oasis in the desert. I was blessed to become a witness of Christ’s love and service in a place where Christians were persecuted.
The harsh environment did not stop us to love and to serve more.
During our crossover with my wife (SFC to CFC), I was diagnosed with a dreaded disease that became a blessing in my life. With the grace of God and with our formation in CFC, the healing journey became my inspiration to become a firm witness of His undying love.
United as one family, CFC helped me a lot in fighting the big ‘C’. From prayers, words of encouragement, sharing of resources and treasures; it was an all-out experience of God’s love.
Whether you are in Africa, Asia, Europe or whatever part of the world, a CFC community is available to deepen your relationship with God.
CFC wants to rise in defense of the family, which is God’s work. CFC wants to bring God’s strength and light to those who are struggling to be truly Christian families in the modern world.
For the first 12 years of the life of CFC, the single focus was on evangelizing and renewing married couples. Even though many non-couples were asking about how they could also be a part of the CFC community, the mandate of the Lord extended only to the work with couples. It has since become clear that the Lord simply wanted to assure a solid foundation, one based on the renewal of Christian couples and their families, for the large work that was to come.
In 1993, CFC established its family ministries. This has provided a “womb-to-tomb” renewal ministry, where persons are evangelized at the youngest age and sustained as they grow through the different stages and states of life. CFC Kids for Christ, CFC Youth for Christ, CFC Singles for Christ, CFC Handmaids of the Lord, and CFC Servants of the Lord provide a support environment for every member of the family. A person moves from one ministry to the next, as his state of life changes. Thus, the whole life of a person while on this world is covered.
Kids for Christ (KFC) aims to serve children from ages four (4) to twelve (12). The ministry is committed to mold young Christ-like leaders.
Youth for Christ (YFC) aims to evangelize youth from ages thirteen (13) to twenty-one (21). The ministry molds a generation of young, passionate, convicted and Christ-centered young people, reaching out to them in every community, campus and school.
Singles for Christ (SFC) was founded to cater to the needs of single men and women from 21 to 40 years of age. “Single” refers to anyone within that age group who is free from any legal impediments to marriage. The pastoral care offered by the ministry, though, is not limited to those who are called for marriage, but includes as well those who may be considering either single blessedness or religious vocation as a state of life.
Handmaids of the Lord (HOLD) target mature women, regardless of status, or situation, from ages forty-one (41) and above. The ministry has a three-fold mission: personal transformation, evangelization to bring her family and others especially women to a renewed life in the Lord, and wholehearted service to bring glad tidings to the poor.
Servants of the Lord (SOLD) specifically targets mature men from ages forty-one (41) and above. SOLD provides an environment wherein they will be empowered to manage their lives accordingly and find spiritual sustenance. SOLD activities revolve around the spirit of brotherhood offering pastoral formation programs that mold its members to become “True Men of God”.
